What better way to get kids interested in gardening than to entice them with their favorite food - pizza! Plant ingredients for a pizza in a large pot or in your garden and get the kids to help with the planting, watering, and harvesting. Pizza night will be EXTRA rewarding when they've been part of the experience from garden to table.

Step 1: Find a sunny spot
Step 2: Choose a large pot with drainage holes if using a container
Step 3: Use potting soil & a large pot for container gardens
Step 4: Use planting mix for in-ground, mix 50/50 with existing soil
Step 5: Add some organic starter fertilizer to jump start root growth
Step 6: Plant the tomato in the middle & add a cage for support
Step 7: Add your favorite pepper plant
Step 8: Plant herbs around the edge
Step 9: Water well
