Our Matthews landscape designer is an experienced
horticulturist and design professional. The at-home landscape design appoint
includes walking your garden with you discussing your preferences, lifestyle,
and budget and then they'll create a custom landscape design.
Home Garden Consultation
A Pike Matthews horticulturist will come to your
home and provide plant identification and care information, gardening advice
and other relevant recommendations. The appointment is tailored to your needs.
Landscape Installations
Our experts can make your landscape design a
reality. Our fully vetted, Pike-certified landscape installers cover everything
from drainage solutions, installations of patios, walkway and wall and of
course - plants!
Planting Services
Pick out your plants at any Pike Nurseries store
and we can plant them. We can even give you a bid to remove old plants so there
is no fuss.
Meet Your Local Landscape Designer
April designs a variety of garden styles and takes pride in
really listening to her clients and striving to produce a design that reflects
their lifestyle and desires for the space. Contemporary, Traditional Southern,
Xeriscape, English garden, etc. "It's all about what they want!" April holds a
degree in Biology and Horticulture Technology and has over 10 years of
experience in the green industry.

Meet Your Local Landscape Designer
I have been working with Pike
Nursery for many years and love serving our customers. When working with design clients, my focus is
to listen and align the design with their likes, needs, and solutions. I like to set my clients up for success and to
share the joy of gardening—whether it's because they like to Play in the Dirt or
if they just want to be "Wowed!" with plants. I love to use plants that change with the
seasons and surprise you. I hold
degrees from SUNY Farmingdale and SUNY ESF. I am NC Plant Certified, have held positions
in Nursery Sales-greenhouse, wholesale, and perennial propagation and former
business owner.

Ginny holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and has many years of experience designing for a variety of customers and their needs.

Welcome to Pike Nurseries, Matthews
I've been with Pike Nursery for more than 3
years, but have had a passion for working in the garden ever since I was a
young boy. As a result, I am fortunate to say that I have seen some of my
dreams become reality! I have a degree in horticulture from Auburn University
and enjoy working in all facets of gardening. My primary interest, at this time,
is unique shrub material.
In my spare time, I often travel to an orphanage in Honduras, where I work on
the vegetable greenhouses for the kids.
Being able to invest in and help the community there (and in this way)
has been very rewarding to me! I also enjoy inspiring and helping our customers
navigate through their garden design ideas, in order to create their perfect
garden space. Our store's associates have a deep knowledge of horticulture and
are a great resource for our customers. We are always happy to help with all of
your gardening needs.
