Lavender Lemonade
Recipe
Give your lemonade a fresh, botanical twist with earthy lavender. The lavender syrup gives the lemonade a slight floral note and is best served chilled. If serving at a party or you want to make it feel even more special, place a sprig of fresh lavender in each glass before serving. A fun, new twist on a refreshing favorite.
Instructions
Lavender Syrup
- In a saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil.
- Once boiling, turn off the heat and add freshly-washed lavender. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, or refrigerate overnight to use the next day.
- Once the simple syrup is cool, remove the lavender stalk. Strain if necessary.
Lavender Lemonade
- In a pitcher, combine lavender-infused simple syrup, lemon juice, and water.
- Taste and adjust if necessary. Add more lemon juice if too sweet, or more sugar if too tart. Add ice or more water to adjust concentration.
- To serve, garnish with a lemon slice and sprig of fresh lavender.
